Here's How to Jump Start Another Car with Jumper Cables

In addition to a set of quality jumper cables, you are going to need some safety glasses and a good working pair of gloves to keep your hands protected in order to jump-start a car. Once the cars are close enough, turn off the engine and the lights on the car. Open the hood to both vehicles, grab the jumper cables and unwind them.

The cables have two red and two black clamps. The red goes on the terminal of the good battery marked positive. The other red clamp to the positive terminal on the dead battery. The black goes on the terminal of the good battery marked negative. The other black clamp to the metal surface on the car to be jump-started. Start the car, after two minutes you can start the second car.

If the car starts, don't take chances of it happening again, get over to Virginia Select Auto so we can fix the issue on the spot.
